Although even a skilled first timer obstetrician may
not make mistake, would you rather choose him or a person/team with more than
ten thousand successful deliveries to their credit? And what can be better if the
team laid emphasis on human values and thought of your baby as a gift from God
deserving full care and treatment as a human being. Some factors that should
help you choose a gynecologist among the
many options are:
· They should treat their patients with respect and dignity. You should feel like a part of their family and not snubbed out loners.
· The obstetrician should be certified with the board and awarded for teaching, research, academic success and most importantly, surgical skills.
· It is often the practice with many gynaes that they schedule an appointment purportedly with them but when you reach on time, you find yourself facing the midwife or nurse. Make sure that this does not happen.
· If the OB/GYN is of the view that human life has begun after conception, they would be more conscientious in preventing a miscarriage.
· In Texas, you should choose a team of doctors who are Advisers or Medical Directors for crisis pregnancy centers in the DFW area.
· If you want a safe and natural alternative to hormonal contraception, look out for the only practice in Denton, Texas that can give you this.
· If you can get 4D ultrasound for free, that would be an added plus.
My sister has been searching everywhere for a Sugarland OBGYN. I will forward this to her to see if any of these apply to anyone in Sugarland since that is where we live. Thanks for posting these tips.
